Based on current technology, only the single-station core shooting is available, which has a high manufacturing cost. Each core shooter requires one operator and the operator has to work in the high-temperature environment in the production line, which doubtlessly will have a direct influence on the worker’s normal operation.
Double-station core shooting overcomes the weakness of single-station core shooting. It requires one operator to operate the coated sand molding of the upper and lower mold synchronically outside of the production line. Therefore, it does not only protect worker’s health but also saves labor force; and reduces equipment manufacturing cost.
